WEAP86/WEAP87 (the two programs were virtually identical) were the last versions of GRL’s classic WEAP (Wave Equation Analysis of Pile Foundations) program to be released into the public domain. Although these programs have been around a long time, they are still useful for the analysis of driven pile foundations for a wide variety of popular pile hammers.
The publication is divided into four volumes, all of which are included in this reprint.
- Volume I contains background ma- terial. This details the basic theory behind the wave equation as ap- plied to piles.
- Volume II is the User Manual for the mainframe version, and is included here for historical reference.
- Volume III contains installation details.
- Volume IV is the User Manual for the PC version.
